slower development
couple of things...
I have a day job, which requires that I be on-call occasionally. My job is also extra busy at the moment.
I have health issues... the biggest of which is hopefully soon to be handled via surgery.
I am getting a little burnt on this project. scope creep has spoiled it for me, for now.
Now, enough of my whining... where is the update?!
there isn't one. I have had almost no time to work on things this past couple of weeks. I don't want to abandon the project entirely... it's not *even* that.
I have been jotting notes down as ideas come to me, so I have things to do. I want to revert the art style, go back to geometric primitives, and develop that aesthetic further. I want to improve multiplayer, add split screen, and maybe network play/servers. I want to improve singleplayer, add new enemies, improve the AI of the enemies we have, etc. the point is, I have ideas, but haven't had time.
I might spend some of today (assuming my on-call pager stays quiet) working on a new level tileset, the goal is to go simple... simple areas of color to denote wall, floor, water, lava, whatever.
Anyway, if anyone follows this game, or reads this... I have not given up! I'm just slowed by things outside of my control.
